NOW Foods Astaxanthin 4mg is a vegan carotenoid supplement formulated to support eye health, antioxidant protection and balanced immune-system responses.

Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid with a distinctive molecular structure. It functions as a free-radical scavenger and helps support the protection of cells and tissues from oxidative stress.

This formula features Zanthin® Astaxanthin obtained from Haematococcus pluvialis extract. Each vegetarian softgel provides 4mg of astaxanthin.

Astaxanthin can cross the blood-retina and blood-brain barriers. This allows it to provide antioxidant activity within eye and central nervous-system tissues. The product is designed to support overall ocular health and normal nervous-system function.

Astaxanthin also supports healthy and balanced immune-system responses. Because it is fat soluble, the manufacturer recommends taking the softgel with food.

Suggested use
